War Graves Visit by His Excellency the Lieutenant Governor
His Excellency the Lieutenant Governor attended St Brelade's Parish Churchyard on Saturday 1st November 2014, to pay his respects at the Commonwealth War Graves. He was met by the Constable, Mr Steve Pallet, the Rector, Revd Mark Bond, the verger, Mrs Ruth White, along with members of the Scouts and Air Cadets Corp
His Excellency read the poem 'Flanders Field' and the last post was played,before
the party visited the graves. |

In St Brelade's Churchyard there are four graves from WW1; two from WW2 and one from Northern Ireland. There is also a plaque commemorating the German Dead who were buried here until the 1960's.

At each grave, Mr Ian Le Sueur, who had spent a lot of time into researching the fallen, gave a short history of each individuals life
