Nestled
among the houses of St Aubin on Mont Les Vaux,
is St. Aubin on the Hill (Anglican).
Chances
are, if you've been to the island, you've probably driven
past this wonderful Victorian church. Just down the
hill from the church is the centre of the pretty
village of St. Aubin, with its friendly shops and restaurants.
Dating
back to the 19th century, this church has some
beautiful stained glass windows by the well known
locally born artist
Mr. H. T. Bosdet and also one by Edward Burne-Jones. Architecturally St Aubin-on-the-Hill is a very fine example of a Victorian
Gothic style building, and few alterations have been made since its completion.
The closest
parking is down in the village, about 500 yards
away, the car park next to the church is private
parking.
Service times are displayed on
the board outside the church. The church community
worships each Sunday at 10.30am with services of
either Morning Worship (1st, 3rd + 5th Sundays) or
Holy Communion (2nd & 4th Sundays each month).
